travel north america united states new york new york city manhattan battery park
Battery Park, also known as The Battery, is located at the southern tip of Manhattan Island facing New York Harbor with the Manhattan skyline behind.
The park contains an old fort named Castle Clinton, the SeaGlass Carousel, and multiple memorials.
We visited in February and the park had a falorn and dead feel to it as most of the vegetation was dead or brown.
We still enjoyed seeing the various monuments.
